Michelle Junot is a writer, graphic designer, and copy editor. She is the author of Notes From My Phone* a self-portrait in her twenties, and of and the floor was always lava, a collection of essays exploring childhood and memory. Her writing has been published in Deep South Magazine, Atticus Review, BmoreArt, The Avenue, and Baltimore STYLE.
Michelle earned her M.F.A in Creative Writing & Publishing Arts from University of Baltimore and her B.A. in Communication and Dance from Centenary College of Louisiana.
She grew up in southern Louisiana and has strong opinions on the pronunciation of pecan, praline and New Orleans.
