Merry Christmas, everyone!

I hope you’re enjoying the 3rd day of Christmas, although I’m sorry to say I have no French hens to offer you. What I do have to offer are photos from my recent birthday celebration.

In case you missed it, I turned 30 on December 12. I wrote a piece called “Reflections On Your 30th Birthday” that’s well worth a read if you haven’t had a chance yet. (You don’t have to be thirty to read it.)

Read the full piece here.

I celebrated the milestone with some of those who have had a significant impact on who I have become and who I hope to become. The weekend included hotdogs, cocktails, drunken strangers at the Horse You Came in On, the Sagamore Pendry Hotel, 8 or 9 espressos, cheesecake, tapas, massages, my favorite games of spoons and fishbowl, my sweet sister who flew in for the extravaganza, and of course, writing.

There’s more to be said before Jan. 1 to wrap up 2018’s adventures, but in the meantime I hope you’ll enjoy these photos from the best staycation and birthday (sans my 5th one) I’ve ever had:

And, as always, if you’re looking for a way to spend all that holiday wealth, check out my online bookstore.

Wishing you each another week of rest and reflection,

Michelle

Special note: I highly recommend the Sagamore Pendry Hotel for any special occasions. It’s admittedly pricey, but if you’re able to splurge for a special event, the hotel and staff are absolutely wonderful and accommodating.
